I've tested your product and was impressed by it's capabilities to revive a damaged hdd, however, this specific hdd had severe physical damage on disk and had to be replaced. Thank you for your good software. Regards

Tool works fine, but the mouse on usb only goes from the right to the left. Not up and down.

But using F10 you can also access the menu.

I was able to successfully download and create a bootable CD. Unfortunately, when run on my Dell Inspiron 1525 it did not see the HDD. This is exactly what happened when I ran my XP install CD to re-partition the drive.

Basically. I can't boot Fdisk after cold reboot. F8 or /12.CD is in the drive. Boot from cd Rom.
Noting. Happens.
Ether the path to dos is wrong. Or I imaged the CD incorrectly.

Nice simple functional app with a good interface even for modest geek level guys like me - unfortunately, a locked partition was not my problem as it turned out, but the disk made it easy to determine

Useful in some instances

Useful in some instances. Much easier then using DOS FDISK, I can't remember the command line switches anymore, it's been too long. Program will format FAT partitions but will not format NTFS partitions. Can be used to set active partitions useful when initially setting up multi-OS systems.

NTFS partition

I wanted to clone my OEM distro onto a native NTFS partition but Super Fdisk doesn't do NTFS. Oddly, no free product I've found does this and conversion just ain't the same. The first disk I made wouldn't boot so I had to load Nero burning and select then it worked (why?). Bummer, SFD would've been nice ten years ago when I used win98se, but now I have to deal with a rock (WGA) and a hard place(OEM windows installation)

Hidden Partition

I decided to intall a bigger harddisk on my HP Pavilion. After cloning the harddisk containing 2 partitions HP_Pavilion (ntfs) and HP_recovery (fat) to a bigger disk it would not boot. The cloning operation created HP_Pavilion partition as hidden and the system tried to boot HP_recovery. I used Super Fdisk to fix this. When I tried to make HP_pavilion partition active I got a warning message saying that it's not possible to have two active partitions on Windows 98 and below. I had XP so I ignored it, and the boot worked fine.
When I start Super Fdisk, I get some Window saying that it can not use any of 4 "protocolls", very strange, because if I hit ok, it finds the drive Samsung HD103UJ. it would be nice to have documentation/Help text describing more around active/non active partition and hidden/non hidden partition and also the boot sequences.
I would also like to see a debugging "boot utility" that displays if the boot sequense is ok or not, starting from the MBR and viewing all the steps up to the end.

Super Fdisk Bootable CD

I have 160 & 320 GB hard disks and using the Super Fdisk I was able to format both my hard disk with absolute ease! Without the Super Fdisk I don't know what I could have done. I would absolutely recommend everybody that has problems with large hard disks to use the software!

Fdisk was not for me

I find that Super Fdisk was working just fine, but the link I was clicking on was for the older version. It didn't give me the features I was hoping for, so in my case trying to format my HDD to NTFS was not possible.
